FREE 1h Full Body HIIT Workout

This week I gave a free 1-hour Zoom Full Body HIIT class to the members of the Sylvan Adams YM-YWHA. This style of class is my absolute favourite to teach, and I miss it so much! I hadn’t seen these guys since March when gyms closed due to Covid, so that alone was a delightful treat - not to mention the kickass workout! 🤟

A few people who couldn’t make the live session asked me to record it for them, so here it is… Now everybody can do it at home! Please bear with me for the first 7-minutes or so of the video with some technical difficulties.

This workout is separated into 4 sections - cardio, lower body, upper body, and abs. The goal of each section is to burn that body part, then forget about it and move on to the next one. By doing this, you can really maximize the effort put into each section, therefore getting a more efficient workout. Doesn’t that sound like a great use of your time? I think so. 💪

Target: full body and cardio.

Equipment: dumbbells of various weights. If you don’t have any, you can do everything without weights, except for the upper body portion where you can take 2 cans… or any other home supplies you find that weighs the same.

Difficulty: intermediate.

Since you’re doing this at home and not live with us, if it’s too difficult for you (at the moment), feel free to pause the video for 30 seconds or so when you need it, and then resume. Repeat this workout once a week for 4-6 weeks and you’ll see a huge change in how well you can do the workout. For example, look at how many breaks you need, or if you increase your weights. Soon enough it’ll be easy peasy, and you’ll have to make it more challenging for yourself! 🙌
